2020 Boost Web3 adoption- Chainstack partners with Polygon to power

Polygon provides scalable, secure and instant transactions using sidechains based on an adapted implementation of Plasma framework for asset security and a decentralized network of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validators. The network is currently live and is powered by the MATIC token used for staking to secure the chain, in addition to being used to pay for transaction fees on the network.

The partnership between Chainstack and Polygon aims to bring the Web3 infrastructure to the business world and further widens the opportunities for developers and start-ups to build applications in Ethereum’s thriving ecosystem.

Chainstack roadmap outlines the creation/release of several solutions and tools that will make deploying Polygon’s infrastructure much easier.

1) Public RPC service: Public RPC endpoints that do not require authentication and will remain free of charge for the foreseeable future for both Polygon PoS mainnet and testnet. The Polygon community can now interact with Polygon PoS blockchain and smart contracts via brand-new RPC endpoints built and operated by Chainstack.

2) Complete Polygon support on Chainstack: Chainstack platform makes running a blockchain node radically simple so that developers can focus on building their application instead of worrying about node availability, costly maintenance and upgrades, or uptime. In the coming weeks, Chainstack will launch automatic deployment of Polygon nodes, adding it to their existing portfolio of enterprise-grade ready infrastructure which already includes Ethereum, Quorum, Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, Multichain, and Bitcoin.

3) Blockchain explorer for the Polygon PoS chain: Anyone will be able to view, query and track in real-time all the transactions carried out on Polygon PoS network. This co-funded initiative will enable the Polygon community to have access to a new explorer which promises to be highly resilient and available, being built on Chainstack’s own infrastructure.

CoolMed launch the CoolMed Portable Vaccine Carrier to help

25th March 2021 – CoolMed, specialists in medical refrigeration, have today strengthened their product offering with the launch of the CoolMed Portable Vaccine Carrier.

The carrier is designed to enable healthcare professionals to easily transport vaccines, solving the problem of cold chain compliance on the move and addressing the unique challenges of Covid vaccine distribution.

Since the start of the Covid pandemic, CoolMed have supplied the NHS with over 500 medical refrigerators in order to safeguard their Covid vaccine stocks. The launch of the CoolMed Portable Vaccine Carrier will further allow CoolMed to help with the vaccine roll-out by providing the last-mile solution for vaccine distribution.

The CoolMed Portable Vaccine Carrier has an inside temperature range of +2oC to +8oC and can be set at any required temperature within this range. The digital temperature display allows practitioners to easily record and monitor the temperature within the carrier, ensuring vaccines are maintained within the cold chain temperature range during transit.

The lightweight 12L transportable carrier uses a safe, gas free Peltier thermoelectric cooling system to ensure that temperature sensitive vaccines are kept within their required temperatures.
