Deadwood’s Days of ’76 makes PRCA history with Rodeo of Year award 2021

Interestingly, Deadwood’s Days of ’76 won a Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year grant from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

This success made PRCA history as Days of ’76 turned into the main rodeo to get little, medium and enormous outside Rodeo of the Year grants while being a Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee.

Beforehand, Days of ’76 sequentially won Medium Rodeo of the Year respects by the PRCA from 2004-2017. Previously, the occasion had won four Small Rodeo of the Year grants. In 2018, the rodeo moved to the Large Outdoor classification.

2020 Days of ’76 Committee Chairman Ted Thompson and approaching 2021 Chairman Greg Nelson acknowledged the honor in Fort Worth, Texas Wednesday night.

Long stretches of ’76 will praise its 99th year on July 27-31, 2021.

Other region South Dakota rodeos got equipment in Texas. Fast City brought home a Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year honor and Belle Fourche won an extra Medium Rodeo of the Year clasp.
